YJ's Snack Bar in the Crossroads

I've known about YJ's Snack Bar on 18th Street in the Crossroads for many years. Back when I was an intern at KC Magazine, my editor used to rave about it. I can't believe it's taken me more than a decade to go inside this Kansas City favorite.

I didn't snap a lot of photos inside of YJ's while I was there for a portrait shoot (see this post for some portraits of Kim taken inside). I'm still trying to get comfortable taking pictures inside shops and restaurants. But I managed to get a few.

As for the coffee...well, my mocha was heavenly. Since mochas are my favorite coffee drink, I always judge a coffee shop based on what I think of their mocha. Let's just say I was back at YJ's a few days later for another round! It's the simple things that make me most happy.

I know it's Monday, so I'm a bit late. But this post is part of The Simple Things Sunday link party.

I love latte / mocha foam art. I wonder how they do it! Looks like a fun place.
